This post shows you exactly how to build an affordable and stylish fall capsule wardrobe for toddler girls and little girls.
When I start planning and purchasing new clothes each season for my daughters, I keep a few requirements in mind:
- Must be cute and stylish (I try to keep it on trend- but my kids also love shirts with characters all over them!)
- Must be able to mix and match
- Must be comfortable
- Must be affordable. (I have to be ok with it getting ruined on first wear and if I paid too much for it- that won’t be the case).
For fall wardrobes I generally pick out the following 10 items to build the base of the fall capsule wardrobe.
Shopping List: Ten Must-Haves:
- LEGGINGS + T-SHIRTS: 2-3 mix and match sets of leggings and t-shirts
- SWEATER: 1 sweater
- TOPS: 2 tops (that will work with jeans or leggings). (Another top option)
- DRESSES: 1-2 comfy dresses
- JEANS: 1 pair of jeans (My kids prefer leggings)
- ACTIVE WEAR: 2 mix and match active outfits
- OUTERWEAR: 1 fall jacket or layering piece
- PAJAMAS: 1 pair of fall (or Halloween) pajamas
- SNEAKERS: 1 pair of active sneakers
- CASUAL SHOES: 1 pair of casual boots or casual sneakers
I tend to find the best everyday wear for my kids from Target, Kohl’s, Old Navy, H&M and Zara. It’s all cute, on-trend and affordable.
Is there anything else on your must-have list? What stores do you usually shop for your kids?
